So I am back with a product review after a really long while. The last grooming product I reviewed on the blog was the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Oil-in-Cream, a non-sticky alternative for heavy hair oils. Many friends who are averse to using hair oil but still wanted some post wash nourishment for their hair appreciated the review and picked up the product for themselves. This exactly is what motivates me to write and share reviews about the products that I spend money on. So as you have already seen the photo, in this post, I am sharing my take on Streax Perfumed Body Mist.
Over the last couple of years, I have really taken to using body mists over deodorants and perfumes. While I find deodorants stingy and not really useful, most perfumes leave me with a headache. So body mists work as the perfect substitute when I don’t feel like wearing heavy duty perfumes.
I chanced upon Streax Perfumed Body Mists at a supermart and the first thing that attracted me towards them was the cute packaging – dainty little transparent bottles in lovely colours. So I randomly picked up one tester bottle in mauve colour, and its fragrance variant read – Oriental Blossom. The scent was lovely, light floral notes not too heavy on the senses. There were two other variants on the shelf – Lily Vanilla and Peach Love – and I tried them too. While Peach Love was subtle than Oriental Blossom, Lily Vanilla had a distinct vanilla fragrance that lingered on, and subsequently became my favourite.
Little note on the ingredients
Ingredients: Denatured Ethyl Alcohol, Aqua, Perfume, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Diethyl phthalate, Triclosan, Benzophenone 3, Colour C.I. 17200.
Contents: Alcohol (95% v/v) 57% w/w Denatured with 1%w/w Diethyl phthalate.
For laymen like me, it is difficult to decipher the ingredients listed here, but of course, these are chemicals and they are bound to have adverse effects. Also, the content section says the mist contains 95% alcohol, which almost all deodorants, perfumes and body mists do and which can cause skin irritation. So the most effective way to use them is to never spray them directly on the skin. I always use them on my clothes, or sometimes on my wrists and a tiny spray behind my ears.
Streax Perfumed Body Mist is available in 3 variants – Peach Love, Oriental Blossom and Lily Vanilla. All 3 are packed in sturdy plastic bottles in cute colours. They bottles come with well-fitted spray nozzles so there are no chances of spillage. The bottle size is compact and convenient enough to carry in my handbag.
Rs. 190 for 100 ml.
Rs. 570 for a pack of 3 bottles.
I bought all the three variants of Streax Perfumed Body Mist, as I really liked the light floral notes. The fragrance stays for 3-4 hours and it feels nice to wear a hint of scent without overpowering my senses.
Hope you liked this review. Looking forward to seeing more of you here on Gini Speaks. Thank you!
